Unwind with the fragrance of Mellow Grove, a relaxing blend of sandalwood, cedarwood, eucalyptus, amber and patchouli

From the pioneers of fragrance behind our bestselling HA KO collection comes Washi Paper Incense Strips, a new type of incense combining friendly missives with rich aromas. Each box contains 30 strips of incense steeped in a blend of natural aromas carefully combined to create a specific scent, along with a metal clip to hold the incense as it burns.

On each individual strip is printed words of encouragement, with notes such as "Cheer Up!" or "Take a Break" providing messages of warmth and solidarity as they fill a space with fragrance. Slip one into a gift or card as an aromatic affirmation, or enjoy this incense at home as a way to brighten your day.

How to use: Attach the included metal clip to the bottom of a strip of incense, then light the free end of the incense. Blow out the flame, leaving the paper strip to smolder, then set the incense down on a flat, non-flammable surface, using the open ends of the clip as a stand. Each strip burns for approximately 5 minutes.

Morihata was founded by wife and husband team Yuka & Kaz Morihata. Their small company represents a long list of well-established Japanese designers and brand for whom we serve as exclusive North American distributor. Our purpose is to make their innovative home and lifestyle goods available beyond the borders of Japan and in doing so, connect Japanese artistry and ingenuity with the rest of the world. HA KO Paper Incense was the winner of the 2019 Good Design Award. An individually packaged HA KO leaf is the perfect introduction to this new form of incense, which was developed over the course of five years by one of Japan’s oldest incense makers. Each leaf can be used as subtle potpourri, giving off fragrance for up to three months, or as incense that burns for approximately seven minutes while cleansing and deodorizing an area.
